ProCredit Holding is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Since 22 December 2016, ProCredit Holding AG & Co. KGaA (ProCredit Holding), the holding company of the international ProCredit group of banks, has been listed on the regulated market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse) in Germany. This marks another milestone in the successful development of ProCredit since its establishment as a banking group in 2003.

This is the forecast of the ProOptimist Index developed by ProCredit Bank in cooperation with the market research company GFK.

In Thessaloniki in early May of this year, ProCredit Bank organised the first and to date the largest meeting of regional entrepreneurs, a B2B event which brought together over 600 owners of small and medium-sized enterprises from countries within the region - the Balkans and Eastern Europe.

By building a network of business owners and strengthening their level of collaboration, we are able to build economic potential within the region. This is the conclusion arrived at during the Business to Business (B2B) event organised by ProCredit Group. The organised B2B event was the largest of its kind to date and followed in the footsteps of previous B2B meetings held in Serbia, Macedonia and Albania. The event, held in Thessaloniki, was attended by over 600 small and medium sized enterprise (SME) owners from Serbia and other countries within the region, who were presented with new opportunities for operational support which this group of banks has on offer. Business people from within the fields of manufacturing, agriculture, the service industry as well as numerous export-oriented enterprises were able to hold a series of meetings with potential business partners operating within these countries, as well as to exchange opinions with leading people from ProCredit Holding, the majority shareholder of all ProCredit banks operating within the region.

EIF and ProCredit group sign deal to finance innovative companies in seven countries

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and ProCredit group have signed an agreement to increase lending to innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as small mid-caps under InnovFin – EU finance for innovators, an initiative supported by the European Commission. 


The new agreement allows ProCredit group to provide finance to innovative companies with a total of EUR 250 million via its ProCredit banks in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania and Serbia. These banks benefit from the support of a guarantee provided by EIF and backed under Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. This is the first umbrella InnovFin SME guarantee signature covering these countries, enabling these ProCredit banks to offer innovative companies additional financing at favourable conditions.


SME in Serbia are more optimistic

 Belgrade, 9 December 2015 – The results of the ProOptimist Index 2016 indicate that the level of optimism found in small and medium-sized companies, both those which conduct business in Serbia and also those which do business with Germany, has increased significantly compared to the previous year. 52.7% of domestic companies expressed a positive attitude in regard to the business climate (in comparison to 46.7% in the previous year), while those companies that conduct business with Germany are even more optimistic (57.8% compared to last year’s 53.8%). This research was conducted by ProCredit Bank in collaboration with the GfK, a German market research agency.

ProCredit Bank Serbia, the most dedicated and experienced lender to SMEs is stepping up its support to small and medium sized enterprises (SME) in Serbia with a €60 million loan provided from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The funding is being provided for on-lending to SMEs at a time when availability of funding crucial to support economic recovery in Serbia. Under the project, ProCredit Bank and the EBRD are aiming to improve access to long-term finance for SMEs across the country.

On 14 September, more than 50 German companies with business ties to Eastern Europe gathered at the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main to learn about the ProCredit group. For this special event, the management board members of the 10 Eastern European ProCredit banks as well as the ProCredit Bank in Germany were available for a direct exchange with the guests. The German companies, which represented the agricultural, mechanical engineering, automotive, textile, IT and renewable energy sectors, enthusiastically embraced this opportunity to engage in close dialogue with the banks. The ProCredit group’s clear and sustainable commitment to South Eastern and Eastern Europe was welcomed by all participants. On this occasion ProCredit Bank Bulgaria announced the start of its business operations in Greece, with the opening of its branch in Thessaloniki scheduled for November 2015.
